Gardena, CA—At InfoComm 2016, held last month at the Las Vegas Convention Center, JK Imaging announced availability of the SP360 4K Aerial accessory pack. Along with two new PixPro SP360 4K action cameras, the kit features a made-for-Solo dual-camera drone mount.

Answering the increasing demand from 3DR Solo drone pilots who want to capture full spherical 360° VR video, the SP360 4K Aerial pack will give dedicated content creators the ability to redefine current aerial videos and move into capturing full spherical 360° VR videos from new vantage points.

“The growing popularity of drone applications is a sign of the times and is one area where our 360° VR cameras and technical advantages are poised to make a huge impact,” said Paul Meyhoefer, vice president of Sales and Marketing for JK Imaging Ltd., the worldwide licensee for Kodak PixPro digital cameras and devices. “The ability to use only two SP360 4K cameras on a Solo drone to capture full spherical 360° video is a game changer.”

The lineup of SP360 4K camera and accessory packs already includes the entry-level SP360 4K Premier pack and SP360 4K Dual Pro pack. The SP360 4K Aerial pack will provide another avenue for creators to enhance their immersive 360° VR videos from the skies.

The SP360 4K Aerial pack will be available in July for a suggested retail price of $999. It comes with two SP360 4K VR cameras and a made-for-Solo dual-camera drone mount that places an SP360 4K on the top of the drone and another on the bottom of the drone. Also included are two standard housing mounts, a selfie pole and a suction cup mount. The kit also provides an RF remote control. The remote syncs and controls multiple devices (up to five SP360 4K VR cameras) for those wanting to record and render full 360° interactive spherical video.

The new SP360 4K action cam retails separately for $449. The made-for-Solo dual-camera drone mount also will be available for separately for $169.99 in mid July.

Fitting in the palm of a hand, the Kodak PixPro SP360 4K action cam records full 360º spherical video in 4K-equivalent resolution. Its 360° spherical lens employs a 235° field of view. Videos captured by the SP360 4K are YouTube and Facebook 360° compatible. The cam supports up to a 126GB microSD card.

The company also includes complimentary PixPro desktop editing software and PixPro Stitch software (for Mac and PCs). Both permit users to enhance their full spherical 360° immersive VR videos. PixPro Stitch also allows them to take their back-to-back mounted camera footage and stitch the two together, cutting down on post-editing time. kodakpixpro.com
