Atlanta, GA—The new Kodak-branded Picture Keeper is being touted as the “world’s first all-in-one USB device with embedded software to protect pictures and other irreplaceable files.” The line comes in four capacities, the largest being Picture Keeper Pro, which is said to hold 250,000 photos.

All four of the devices are ready to go out of the box, because there’s no software to install. Users can just insert the USB cable for the Picture Keeper Pro drive into any USB port on a PC, click “Start Backup” and Picture Keeper automatically finds and saves all the consumer’s pictures. Subsequent backups are faster, because Picture Keeper will only copy the newest images when it is used again to save recently added or changed pictures.

The company also announced that it will soon release Picture Keeper for the iPhone and iPad.

The Picture Keeper comes in the following capacities: PK 4, 4,000 photos, $29.99; PK 8, 8,000 photos, $59.99; PK 16, 16,000 photos, $99.99; and PK Pro, 250,000 photos, $169.99. picturekeeper.com
