Joby Rolls Out Four New Colors for GorillaPod P&S Tripod with Pinterest Contest

2201

San Francisco, CA—Joby introduced four new colors for its flexible GorillaPod Original point-and-shoot camera tripod. The line is now offered in lime green, fuchsia, sky blue and charcoal, arriving in time for summer travel, graduation day, Father’s Day and outdoor adventures.

“Our research shows consumers are demanding fashion-forward colors and advanced features as part of their photo-taking experiences,” said Laura Kawakami, Joby’s brand and product marketing director. “The GorillaPod Original camera tripod is the must-have accessory to help push the limits of their photography and capture better photos.”

As with all Joby proprietary designs, the new color additions began with a close look at worldwide trends. “A palette of modern, bright and tertiary color served as our inspiration to represent creativity and renewal, and pairs nicely with today’s dynamic point-and-shoot cameras,” said Eric Hale, director of innovation design strategy for Joby.

The portable GorillaPod Original is designed for use with a wide variety of point-and-shoot cameras weighing up to 11.5 ounces. With flexible, wrappable leg joints and rubber foot grips, users can secure a camera to any object to capture new perspectives and help avoid blurry images.

Lightweight and easy to stash, the flexible tripod retails for $19.95. In addition to the four new colors, the lineup includes gray, yellow, green, blue, red, pink and orange versions.

To kick off the new palette, Joby, which is owned by Daymen, invites GorillaPod fans to share their color inspirations by participating in the Wrapped Up in Color contest on Pinterest.
