Jackson, MI—The Independent Photo Imagers (IPI), North America’s largest buying group for photo service specialty retailers, and Foto Source Canada, the largest photo buying group in Canada, will hold a meeting for members and prospective members at the 2013 PMA@CES, which takes place January 8-11, 2013, at the LVH in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The meeting will be held on January 8, 2013 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the LVH. The two allied buying groups, together comprising more than 1,000 storefronts in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, will meet to discuss new updates to the IPI Marketing Solutions Program (MSP) for 2013. The IPI MSP offers an array of tools to help imaging retailers, B2B businesses, sports/event photography businesses and portrait studios increase their sales.

“PMA welcomes the thousand-plus specialty photo retailers represented by the IPI and Foto Source buying groups to the PMA@CES trade show floor,” said Jim Esp, PMA’s executive director. “We are excited to bring so many imaging buyers together with all the leading manufacturers and suppliers that will be showcasing their latest technologies and products at PMA@CES.”

Kirk Sidley, IPI chairman and owner of Picture Perfect in Portland, Oregon, commented: “The IPI/Foto Source Marketing Solutions meeting at PMA@CES will feature some of the most innovative and exciting concepts in photo retail services marketing. Attendees will see the most comprehensive turnkey solution to increase sales, through proven techniques and unique product offerings. Since expanding internationally, the IPI MSP has been able to incorporate ideas from all over the world. What an exciting time to be in this industry.

“IPI is encouraging its members to attend PMA@CES, and to take advantage of the great educational opportunities at the DIMA 2013 and PSPA/SPAA 2013 conferences. This is a great time for all segments of the industry to converge and share critical information to help their business,” Sidley added.

Don Spring, president of Foto Source Canada, stated, “Consumers today have never before had as many new and exciting ways to view and share their pictures. The opportunities for retailers to be part of this excitement has also never been greater. Attending the PMA/CES show in Vegas in January is the perfect opportunity for retailers to come and learn about all these new and exciting products and services.

“The IPI buying group and Foto Source Canada have joined forces to provide their members with one of the most powerful marketing tools available to retailers today, the Marketing Solutions Program. Thanks to Fujifilm’s support, the IPI MSP allows Foto Source and IPI members to provide consumers with some of the most unique and exciting ways to display their images,” Spring continued. “Retailers attending this year’s PMA/CES show will have the opportunity to attend the IPI MSP meeting and learn what will be new and exciting with the IPI MSP program in the following year. I look forward to seeing everyone at the show and sharing in the excitement of this great industry.”

“This is a super opportunity for IPI MSP users to meet and discuss their holiday season successes, and learn about what’s in store for 2013 with regard to the IPI MSP, and for nonusers to learn about what all the IPI MSP buzz is about,” said Brent Bowyer, IPI CEO and president. “We are conducting this IPI Marketing Solutions Program meeting during PMA@CES to encourage members to attend PMA@CES. With valuable educational sessions offered during the DIMA 2013 and PSPA/SPAA 2013 conferences; many of the world’s top imaging companies exhibiting the latest innovations on the PMA@CES trade show floor; and the opportunity for IPI members from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom to network with their peers, PMA@CES presents a not-to-be-missed opportunity.” ipiphoto.com and fotosource.com
