New York, NY—Impossible, which manufactures fresh instant films for traditional Polaroid cameras at the original Polaroid production plant in Enschede, The Netherlands, announced its films will now be released biannually each spring and fall, kicked off by the inaugural launch of the Impossible Cool film line.

The new line features Impossible Color Shade and Silver Shade film materials in their newest incarnations based on the latest findings and achievements in instant film development. The colors of this season are based on warm tones used to create “dreamy images, with Color Shade films producing true colors and Silver Shade films delivering classic black & white images,” the company said.

The Cool films were developed to introduce a new flavor of analog instant photography: Photographers shooting with Impossible Cool film materials will experience faster image development, more consistent image results and greatly reduced artifacts and irregularities.

Cool films can be stored and enjoyed at every kind of temperature, but for optimized consumption, it’s beneficial to store the films in a refrigerator at around 41-50° F.

The line includes PX 70 Color Shade and PX 100 Silver Shade for Polaroid SX-70 cameras, and PX 680 Color Shade and PX 600 Silver Shade for Polaroid 600 cameras. For Image, Spectra and 1200 Polaroid cameras, Impossible offers PZ 680 Color Shade and PZ 600 Silver Shade films.

The spring Cool edition films retail for $23.49 per film pack (8 images per pack). the-impossible-project.com
