Greenwood, SC—Tomoyoshi “John” Ueno joins Fujifilm Manufacturing USA, Inc., as president of the company’s North American manufacturing headquarters in Greenwood, South Carolina.

Ueno began his career with Fujifilm Corporation in Japan in April 1977. Since then he has held a number of positions in Japan and the Netherlands. Prior to assuming his role with the company in Greenwood, he served as general manager for Fujifilm’s factory in Fujinomiya, Japan.

“I am happy to be in Greenwood, and I am eager to experience American life in the South,” said Ueno. “I am looking forward to making friends here, and most importantly, I want to see Fujifilm’s Greenwood manufacturing site grow and become more prosperous.”

With more than 30 years’ experience in production and operations management, Ueno possesses technical expertise, product knowledge and managerial experience that will be beneficial to the continued successful operations of Fujifilm’s manufacturing complex in Greenwood.

Ueno will succeed current president Shinji “Shin” Kataoka, who came to Greenwood in 2008 and since then has overseen operations at the 500-acre manufacturing campus.

“We welcome Mr. Ueno to Fujifilm in Greenwood,” said Todd Croker, senior vice president of Operations, Fujifilm Manufacturing USA, Inc. “As president, he will play a significant role in the continued growth and development of Fujifilm’s manufacturing facilities.” fujifilmusa.com
