Detroit, MI—DNP Imagingcomm America partnered with the first annual Camera Artists Summit (CAS) in Detroit, Michigan, held April 30 through May 2. The summit offered photographers of all skill levels an opportunity to network with their peers and learn about photographic standards. Attendees also received free training in many areas of photography and the business of photography, including DNP’s on-site printing seminar.

“We are proud to partner with the Camera Artists Summit to help provide free educational sessions to photographers around the country,” said Katsuyuki Oshima, president of DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation. “On-site printing is an increasingly important component to the event photographer’s business offerings. Our seminar at CAS 2016 is designed to help professional and aspiring photographers understand the technology and workflows required to have a successful print on-site business operation.”

The DNP seminar featured the setup and operation of a successful dye-sublimation on-site printing workflow for event photography and photo booths. A DNP representative was available for a Q&A session as well as for one-on-one meetings with attendees. Seminar attendees also had the chance to win DNP’s flagship DS620A dye-sub printer. Bundled with the printer is a case of 4×6-inch media and Darkroom  software.

DNP’s DS620A

DNP’s DS620A is a compact professional-grade photo printer. It produces up to 400 prints per hour in a variety of sizes. The printer produces 2×6-inch (2-up) photo strips and 2×6-inch (4-up) photo strips, as well as 3.5×5- (2x), 4×6-, 4×6- (2x), 5×7- and 6×8-inch prints. It can now also print 5×5- and 6×6-inch square prints in a newly improved gloss or matte finish.

Also available with the DS620A is DNP’s new double-perforated 6×8-inch media that features a 2-inch laser-snap double perforation. The perforated media allows for three snap-off photo strips. As a result, users can attach call-to-action items to photo prints. They can include vouchers, coupons, logos and other promotional materials. dnpphoto.com
