Melville, NY—At the International CES in Las Vegas, Nevada, Canon USA, Inc., showcased its latest consumer and professional products throughout its “See Impossible” themed booth. Attendees experienced a newly designed booth layout intended to demonstrate how Canon products and solutions are utilized in the daily real-life environments of home, work and the professional studio.

A central focal point to the booth was a newly designed optics and imaging technology display that provided unique visual perspectives of the booth using lenses from Canon’s line of more than 103 EF lenses. The lens display provided attendees a 360º view of the booth.

The Home Zone, designed as a consumer’s living room, featured EOS and PowerShot digital cameras, Vixia personal camcorders, Pixma inkjet printers and the new Canon Connect Station CS100. The layout was intended to display how Canon products help consumers capture, share and print their memories. An HD video presentation demonstrated how simple recording and editing of HD video can be with an EOS DSLR.

The Pro Studio Zone allowed visitors to experience a day in the studio with a pro photographer or cinematographer. Demonstrations included a live shoot with Canon Explorer of Light Clay Blackmore, spotlighting the EOS 7D Mark II camera, a live video shoot with Explorer of Light Bruce Dorn, with the EOS C100 Mark II camera, a sports-themed live shoot with Explorer of Light Peter Read Miller, using the EOS 7D Mark II, and technical presentations from some of Canon’s experienced field staff. Demoing Canon’s input-to-output workflow, images from each live shoot were printed on imagePrograf and Pixma Pro professional inkjet printers.

And for the first time at a U.S. trade show, Canon exhibited the Cine-Servo 50–1000mm T5.0–8.9 Cinema EOS lens, “the world’s longest focal length (75–1500mm with its built-in 1.5x extender) and highest (20x) magnification among super 35mm zoom lenses.”
