Las Vegas, NV—Argraph Corporation is exhibiting the new EXUS line of high-tech camera lens filters made in Japan by Marumi Optical Co. Designed to maximize the performance of advanced DSLRs, EXUS filters provide newly developed, patented features to enhance image quality on both digital and film cameras.

The EXUS line consists of Circular Polarizer and Lens Protect filters, in 13 sizes from 37mm to 82mm. The filters feature an antistatic low-reflective coating and patented glass securing system. The new EXUS multilayer coating is both antistatic and water and oil repellent, to protect lenses from dust and pollutants while allowing cleaning of water spots and fingerprints.

EXUS Lens Protect. Designed to protect a camera lens, this is a clear, transparent filter. Because the entire outer rim of the lens is treated with black ink and features a special frame structure, the filter achieves ultra low reflection of less than 0.3%. With suppression of surface reflection, the filter aids in bringing out the camera’s lens performance. The filter also features the new antistatic coating that protects the lens from static clinging of dust and dirt, and its glass is engineered to be flatter and stronger than conventional filters. In addition, the filter mount features multiple light- blocking ridges to eliminate flaring and ghosting caused by diffusion. Other features include wide-angle capability, no vignetting, an ultrathin frame design, a satin finish, knurling and an attachable lens cap. A filter case is included. SRPs: $74.95–$149.95, depending on size.

EXUS Circular Polarizer. Developed to enhance color contrast purity and saturation by suppressing the subject’s surface reflection, this filter is said to provide “exceptional light transmission.” Argraph notes the EXUS Polarizer “makes colors in the viewfinder appear brighter with more contrast, allowing easier viewing and faster, more accurate autofocus.”

It features: EXUS antistatic multicoatings to protect the lens from static clinging of dust and dirt, while allowing cleaning of water spots and fingerprints; wide-angle capability; no vignetting; the transmission of 30% more light than conventional polarizers; shadows appear darker with better gradation; water- and oil-repellent coatings; the entire outer rim is treated with black ink and features a special frame structure with light-blocking ridges that help achieve ultra-low reflection of less than 0.6%; Teflon-coated male threads; a satin finish; knurling; and an attachable lens cap. $164.95–329.95.
