During the Photo Publishing Summit at the 6Sight Future of Imaging Summit conference, June 20-22 in San Jose at the Sainte Claire Hotel, executives will share how they capture greater revenue and increase their portfolio of services by leveraging the convergence of digital photo imaging, workflow, and output technologies.

The Summit is led by InfoTrends group director, Barb Pellow, who will present the latest industry data and market opportunities for photo publishing and merchandise.

“Successful practitioners realize that seamless solutions, manufacturing excellence, and innovative products play a critical role in developing and growing a successful photo publishing and merchandise business,” Pellow said. “We've assembled a panel of presenters that are approaching the photo industry from a unique perspective. These panelists will discuss how they have evolved their own businesses to meet technological changes in the marketplace, and provide a unique perspective on the future of photo publishing.”

Pellow was the chief marketing officer of Kodak's Graphic Communications Group, and, prior to that, Gannett Chair in integrated publishing sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology's School of Printing Management and Sciences. She has also served as an executive at Ikon Office Solutions, Indigo, Xerox, and CAP Ventures.

For a panel discussion of practitioners carving out niche businesses within the photo marketplace, Pellow will be joined by:

  • Danny Faccini, vice president of operations for Pictage, an online platform for marketing, selling and fulfilling professional photo products.
  • Charlie Corr, vice president, corporate strategy for Mimeo, an online provider of on-demand document printing and distribution.
  • George Fry, operations manager for Convertible Solutions, which provides an on-demand finishing solution with pre-converted paper stocks for unique photo merchandise.
